AAR : Application aware routing

 Very important Concept in SDWAN network at time of design :

AAR
** It is Centralised Policy : Changes will push from Vsmart
**It is data policy : Impacting data plane
How & Why we Use AAR :
(1) Identify Traffic or list of application (in your network)
(2) Identity transport and its color (in your network ) : mpls 1,mpls 2
custom 1 & Custom 2 (total 4 in your network)
(3) critical traffic or real time traffic will send over healthy WAN
transport
(4) less critical traffic can be send over less healthy or less reliable
WAN transport

Below Parameter for Reliability of WAN
loss (in percentage)
latency (in ms)
Jitter (in ms)

What option need to understand from Vmanage panel :
SLA CLASS : multiple class can be created with variable of loss, latency, jitter
SLA CLASS : It can be created under list option of centralised policy
application aware policy :
AAR policy can me on match and action :
Match : source(IP/Prefix list)
destination (IP/prefix list)
Source Port (Many /one)
Destination Port (Many/one)
Action : SLA Class list : one one can be add in sequence
Prefred color :(One/ multiple)
Back up color :(one/multiple ): option

If Customer ask he want to send all messenger traffic(Facebook messenger , whatspp ,viber , wechat , line , telegram , skype , slack) from Internet link and if internet link (Custom1 )is down no need to send traffic on other MPLS link .


Your approach : Instead of doing match on L4 protocol , We will match on application family list . First we will create application list which will required messenger application . Match on application family and set SLA class , color (custom 1) and choose restrict also
